Switching jewels around to line up the same colors sounds like such a simple game that it might entertain a child for all of five minutes. But Bejeweled 2 manages to turn adults looking to kill a few minutes into addicted fans. Yes, it really is a simple game — line up three matching sparkling gems and they burst into showers of color and points — but somehow it’s challenging enough to keep you coming back for more.
Downloading the game can take a little more time than expected, but it’s worth the wait. Once you’ve got it, this game looks fantastic, with colors so vibrant you might even want to wear your shades while playing. The main drawback is that it isn’t integrated with Facebook, which means sharing with your friends and bragging about your high scores isn’t as easy as it should be.
Hints are given if needed, and puzzles are made more challenging as you advance, providing hours of fun. Go ahead, support your inner child and play away.
