Coachella 2012
By Thinglet Software
Overview
Coachella 2012 is the unofficial app of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that takes place in Southern California. The app fails to impress with interactive features, but its basic information (simple maps and bands and stages lists) may be worth its zero dollar price tag to some attending Coachella.

Coachella goers should first know that this is not the official app for Coachella 2012. The app is bare bones, and it features one of the uglier user interfaces we’ve seen. The app is also inexplicably large (12 MB) and cannot be stored to your SD card. So, unless you’re working with a sizable onboard hard drive, the Coachella 2012 app is going to weigh like a boulder within your smartphone.
On the plus side, the Coachella 2012 app contains a map showing the orientation of the music festival's grounds, the stages and the locations of the water and first-aid stations. The map is plain and can’t be marked, modified or zoomed, but at least it’s there.
The best thing that can be said about the Coachella 2012 app is that it contains an accurate list of the bands and stages. Presumably, an accurate schedule will accompany them once it’s made available.
There are news and videos, too, but what do you need those for? You’re at Coachella. Get off your phone and go find some great music.
