Pretty sure that gas station near your home is more expensive than others across town? Now you can find out by using this app to locate gas prices in and around your neighborhood, saving as much as 20 or 30 cents a gallon!

GasBuddy not only searches in and around a ZIP code or city, but also plots them on an interactive map. (If that’s too much, it will also use GPS to find your location for you.) Our search found that gas stations within a few blocks were priced about 35 cents higher per gallon than ones five miles away. While it’s not cost effective to drive across town to save a few bucks, the app lets you know whether to gas up after work or wait until you’re closer to home.

Most of our results came back with prices, which showed us that the app has updated information from reliable sources and won’t let you down when you really need to find a nearby gas station quickly. If you spend a significant amount of time on the road, this app is a solid download that will help save time and money.
