HopStop

HopStop is a directions app that seems to specialize in incorporating public transportation, but it can be used for any combination of directions you might need. However, this is all HopStop does. The maps are not interactive (they merely show you a photo of your route), you must have two addresses to generate directions and information about locations, and search functionality is missing entirely. It does allow you to save routes for future use.

We can’t reasonably give this app one star because it does seem to provide adequate directions, but given the availability of much more powerful and robust directions apps (Google Maps, anyone?), we think it’s fair to ask, “Why bother?”
