Jigsaw Mansion 2 is a fun game app that lets you solve all sorts of puzzles, including customized puzzles from your smartphone photos. This family-friendly game also boasts some cool features to make the puzzle experience more high-tech.
Jigsaw Mansion 2 is a sequel to the original Jigsaw Mansion. This time, it’s optimized for separate iPhone and iPad versions. When you download the game app, you instantly become an inherited mansion owner. As you explore your new virtual home, you discover that it is full of, you guessed it, puzzles.
The goal of the game is to complete jigsaw puzzles as fast as you can to earn coins, and the more coins you earn, the more puzzles you can purchase from the mystery character Annie, the app’s narrator. For each puzzle, you can earn up to three coins, which isn’t as easy as you’d expect when playing against a clock. (Timers are based on the number of puzzle pieces and the puzzle’s difficulty level.) The app also features a list of achievements to complete, which can earn you extra coins.
To begin playing, swipe to the right from the homepage to open a series of doors that lead you to different puzzles. Some doors are locked with chains and can only be opened if you have a certain amount of coins that you earn from solving other puzzles. Tap the screen to open a door and begin solving a puzzle.
If you swipe to the left, there is another door labeled “Your Puzzles,” which is one of the most appealing features of the app. Your Puzzles allows you to create customized puzzles from your own pictures. You can choose to take a photo on your device or select one from your photo albums. The app then enables you to select the amount of pieces that are in the puzzle, type in a cool title and choose from a range of ornate frames.
Aside from the ticking clock, assembling puzzles in Jigsaw Mansion 2 is relatively easy thanks to an auto-snapping feature (which locks puzzle pieces in place without fitting them perfectly into one another) and the Puzzle Mat (a handy template that can be used to show the outline of each puzzle piece). There’s also an Inventory Tray that stores your puzzle pieces, so you’ll never lose those little buggers like you do in real life. To make the game more challenging, you can get rid of the Puzzle Mat or choose more difficult puzzles that have more pieces.
Jigsaw Mansion 2 lets share your puzzles via Facebook, Twitter and email. Go on; share the great pastime of jigsaw puzzles with family and friends with Jigsaw Mansion 2!
