If you’re like us, you know that a trip to Target is, at the very least, an hour ordeal. The megastore possesses everything you could possibly need and want, and then some. To make your shopping experience a little easier (and hopefully shorter), download the Target mobile app for iPhone or Android and make purchases or create shopping lists from home.
The user interface offers a search bar on top for specific searches and six tabs below for your shopping needs: Featured, Products, Weekly Ads, Lists, Stores and My Target. You can start by browsing the Products tab. Choose a category (women, men, baby, home, etc.), and once you find that bedroom dresser you’re looking for, add it to your cart. If you prefer to feel the wood-veneer finish before you buy, simply add it to your Target Lists, along with your shampoo and toothpaste, and you won’t forget a thing once you’re in the big red store.
Our favorite part about the Target app is all the product details it provides. When we looked into a new GPS system for the car, the app showed us everything from the item’s mapping features to its screen size.
Users can check out the Daily Deals and Weekly Ad tabs for special offers and use My Target to ditch the plastic and manage gift cards. Put the scissors away and sign up for coupon alerts to get deals sent directly to your phone. And if you prefer the physical shopping experience, use the Stores tab to locate the nearest Target.
Once you’re in the store, the Target app lets you scan UPC codes to check prices and availability. But, really, no one can pass up cute-but-totally-unnecessary items near the checkout counters, anyway.
