The Outnet StyleCred app is the iPhone equivalent of a day spent aimlessly wandering through the mall, with no real goals in mind other than to buy things… or not.

The presentation is slick and the fashion choices are relatively diverse; however, unless you have friends already using the app, you shouldn’t expect much help. Though the photos are crisp and the app operates quickly, it amounts to a lot of scrolling through images and waiting for something to catch your eye. From there you can start a new “Look” or build on one you’ve already started.

The app allows you to buy individual pieces or share your outfits on Twitter or Facebook. But be sure to know your size: StyleCred’s flat images present the age-old problem of buying something without first being able to try it on. Perhaps some e-models would have helped.
