These days, the socially adept run rampant with their carefully curated blogs. If you’ve ever thought about starting a blog but assumed it might be too much work, there’s an excellent solution for you: Tumblr.

Tumblr is a blogging platform that can be utilized both online and through a smartphone app. And thanks to a recent update, Tumblr's Android app now supports tablets (although Tumblr has yet to launch an iPad app, so you iOS people be patient). It is one of the quickest and easiest ways to share your life moments with an audience (unless you choose to keep it private) and to do so in a way that is visually appealing and truly yours. While bloggers aim to provide content in a simple interface and organized (yet engaging, of course) manner, Tumblr manages to keep it all as simple as possible.

Once you sign up and create a blog name (something you can do anonymously), the next step is posting—a step the Tumblr app is famous for helping you do promptly. Your choices are straight to the point: text, photo, link, quote, audio or video, and in just a few taps, swipes, uploads or key strokes, you can push your content to the web.

Want to share that funny story and video of your dog chasing his tail? Quickly relay a quote one of your friends said? Want to post a great article you read? The Tumblr app keeps your thoughts and memories organized and allows others to come along for the ride.  The app also lets you view your friends’ and other Tumblr users’ posts in a quick-scrolling dashboard, where you can either comment on, “heart” or reblog what you see.

If you’re thinking about making the leap and sharing your favorite things on the Internet in blog form (or, if your current blog platform is driving you insane), then Tumblr is definitely the way to go.
